What is a Sports Massage?

Sports massages are not just for those involved in sports. Anyone can benefit from a sports massage, including those who have a physically demanding job, or for those who sit at a desk all day and suffer from postural stress. Both of these can sometimes show characteristics that are similar to those suffering from a sports injury.

A sports massage will help to reduce any muscular pain, loosen tight muscles and potentially reduce muscular / joint stiffness. It can also help improve the range of movement. A sports massage is extremely beneficial for your overall functionality and can even help with boosting your wellbeing by helping to reduce any pain you are suffering from.

I get asked this a lot!

You don’t need to be a sports person to benefit from a sports massage. Many clients will come to visit the clinic to get relief from pain and discomfort they have from everyday living - especially those in physical jobs, or for those who sit at a desk all day.
